About

Hi, I'm Jyppe A. Quidores, and CreativityWindow™ is my personal blog—a space where I share thoughts, insights, and inspirations across a wide range of topics that interest me. While it started with a focus on visual merchandising, the blog has grown to cover graphic design, visual arts, photography, leisure, nature, homesteading, and just about anything I find worth exploring and writing about.

From VM to Creative Exploration

When I first launched this blog, it was solely dedicated to visual merchandising. Over time, I expanded its scope to serve as a resource for beginners and enthusiasts in photography, graphic design, arts and crafts, display design, marketing, and other creative fields. At its core, these subjects all orbit around a central theme: visual communication—a powerful tool especially for creatives.

You'll still find plenty of content from those early days, especially in the Visual Merchandising category. This section features practical tips and ideas on how to evoke emotional and perceptual responses from customers using aesthetics, storytelling, and retail design strategies.

Today, it's like my personal blog where I write about anything I want to share.

A Journey Back Home

After stepping away from my role as a visual merchandiser, I returned to my hometown in the countryside of Mindanao, southern Philippines. I spent more time outdoors and on the farm, reconnecting with nature and discovering new passions. Many of those experiences made their way into this blog, offering a different yet equally meaningful perspective on creativity and life.

I also joined the Alamada Local Cultural Mapping Project as the lead mapper, where I gained a deeper understanding and broader knowledge of the municipality's history and culture.

I currently run a local micro-enterprise that offers professional graphic design, printing, and other creative solutions.

My Creative Background

I’m a creative professional with over a decade of experience in graphic design, visual merchandising, training, and public speaking—both in the Philippines and abroad. My work has ranged from international retail design in Brunei to community-based training and advocacy here in Mindanao, where I’ve served as a resource person, guest speaker, and design consultant for various government and educational programs.

As a visual communicator, I’ve contributed to books, magazines, Wikipedia, and Wikimedia Commons, and my work has received recognition, including being named 1st Runner-Up in the 2011 Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Awards and winning several design competitions in academic and professional settings.

During my college years at Davao del Norte State College, I served as Student Supreme Council President and Board of Trustees member, earning multiple awards for both leadership and creativity.

Whether I’m designing, writing, teaching, or speaking, I’m passionate about inspiring creativity, promoting local culture, and championing meaningful visual communication. I’m glad you’re here—welcome to CreativityWindow™.
